I know it was tough on the family. Just so much transpiring, especially over the past few months. It's a great day - keep a local (true local) elite talent at home. UNLV really worked this one hard. Eighteen months ago, I would have said, not a chance. I wasn't worried recently. There's alot of trust and relationships are always what gets it done with the elite kids that can pick anywhere.

He'll be a freshman, but he's going to be a skilled, high IQ, team guy freshman. If you watched him play at Gorman you know he was a team guy. He didn't need all the shots. He moved the ball, he threw the elbows, he grabbed the boards and scored when he had a good shot.

And even though Stephen is VERY good, if people think he's going to come in here and average 22 pts and 12 rebounds, that ain't going to happen. Stephen will touch every facet of the game and he'll contribute to an overall cohesiveness on the floor. He'll set a REAL screen. He's not afraid to dump the ball into the post from the high post or hit a guard on a backdoor. He sees the floor, he's never rushed. He's not going to dominate but he's not going to back down from anyone.

It's a great day to be a Rebel.
