CSU got blown out at home against South Dakota St, so maybe depending where the game is played.
My question if UNLV goes 0 this year for 0-18, can UNLV get the money to fire Arroyo? To me he has to win 3 games this year, don't care how he does it, but this is pathetic, granted UNLV administration is pathetic for 30 years.

Sadly, no CSU on the schedule in 2021.

I can't imagine Harp making any moves like that while he's interim AD. Not even sure he could if he wanted to. Until we have an AD in the seat, I doubt any movement actually happens. Whichever boosters are even interested anymore, I imagine they could probably make it happen... if there's a plan to follow up with a new coach. Ousting Arroyo with no money for a new guy is a dangerous game to play.

Is there a school that Arroyo use to play or coached at that a vacancy position opened and he is close with the AD or President? We can take a few laps at Sapphires with Buffet for his release.

Poor Anthony Young, I was rooting for him to get a win but the losses kept piling up.
I don’t think many people understood the reference, appreciate you getting it.

I didn’t like the Mets, but yeah, I rooted for him to snap the steak. He had a couple of heartbreaks in there too that could have snapped it. Was painful to watch.

I think we are 2 more years away from being competitive. We are definitely improving ,but at a much slower pace than it should be. I dont know if its evaluating talent or they just want to build it slow and methodical ? Maybe the talent level was so low when they took over that its the reason its taking longer? These other MWC teams seemed to of been rebuilt overnight.

It not 2 years away from being competitive.
This program has several 4 star quarterbacks, Charles Williams is one of the most explosive backs in the country, it has two of the programs best pass rushers in over 20 years in the Windmon/Plant combo, a good set of receivers and good linebacker talent.
This program wasn't an 0 win program under Sanchez, Hauck, Sanford or Robinson.
Overall, this coaching staff has to figure out how to win games. Back-to-back 0 win season won't win many recruiting battles.

Lol the wife and I was just talking about a 0 win season today before I started reading the whispers

I agree this isn't a zero win season. We'll fall into 1 win somewhere due to multiple miscues by another team. Could be anyone except Iowa State or Arizona State.

Seriously I’ve been watching unlv football since early 2000s and the worst coached and least competitive teams were Hauck teams by far until this clown Arroyo. On paper, definitely the most talent we have had since at least Sanford, but by far the worst prep and coaching (head) I’ve seen at unlv. Seriously, bag on Sanchez all you want, but with less talent his worst teams would beat this team by 2-3 touchdowns for sure. When a high school coach can coach circles around you maybe you are not the right guy. Embarrassing that I feel we will be lucky to win one game in his first two years. Ridiculous

By 2-3 touchdowns? For sure?

Get out of here with that take.
Yes for sure. Obviously you haven’t watched a lot of rebel football. These are by far the worst coached and least competitive teams of the last 20 years with probably the most talent. This guy has is a fantastic social media and recruiting guy, and a terrible coach. Hopefully he lets the assistants make all the playcalling and decisions from here on out and we may have a chance at a couple wins this year.

ps Don’t think he was the guy at all, but Sanchez would probably have this team bowling or close to it

I feel bad for Williams. With even a medium talent QB and a decent O line he'd be racking up huge numbers this year. But instead he's forced to run into 10 players who know he's coming. Hope he doesn't get hurt.

Sanchez definitely had some games where his teams looked totally unprepared so I’m not certain they would even win. Sanchez also seemed to be able to motivate his guys occasionally. I know it’s only been 7 games but damn the Rebels have come out flat for every game under CMA.

Hauck had the worst football I’ve seen since Horton was here. I’m glad we made that one bowl game but it was painfully obvious he was not the guy for the job. He should have been canned after season 2 or 3 but Rebel fans seem to think every coach deserves 5 years to prove himself.

It is 2 years maybe more. We are 34 point underdogs vs ASU. We will be a underdog in almost every game this year. Most double digits! If not all. When i say competitive that means not losing to EWU and being able to hang with most of the MWC teams and beat most. Like reno, SJSU, SDSU Fresno St. USU and Air Force.

I think we found a serviceable QB in Brumfeld so now we need a back-up.
Also, in my opinion the Secondary / pass defense needs a lot of help. Also, a little better tackling would always be beneficial. Straighten these things out and maybe we can be competitive against the 4th quartile of D1 teams. Right now we are moderately competitive against only FCS teams.
