This would be big in terms of basically assuring we finish top five - we get nothing but very winnable games at home here on out. A win here feels like a clincher for avoiding the first day of play.
Even with a loss, I feel like we are in good shape given the way the schedule plays out.
Talk about a horrible finish. Team goes up 8 in the 2nd half and loses by 15. We’ve gotten smoked in these road games against some of the better teams in the conference losing by 14, 18 and 15 in the last 3 road games.
But it looks like every other team is really struggling in road games too besides San Diego State. If we could beat either New Mexico State or San Jose State on the road and win our home games we would finish out the season 5-2.
But going 4-0 in those home games isn’t a sure thing. OTOH we also have an opportunity with home games against Reno, Colorado State and Boise State coming up. Wins against them would help us catch them and surpass them in the standings. They had their home games against us. We’ll soon get a chance for payback.

Yea, was at this game. Was going very well until like 10 minutes left and then it all went the shait. <sigh> ..... we haven't won a game yet since I moved to Utah at Utah State. Both b-ball and football. Ok, I don't expect us to win a football game, but come on basketball.......
At least it wasn't a total embarrassment performance like that BYU game. That was humiliating. Never been so embarrassed at a UNLV game ever.
