Interesting goings-on in Ft Collins today. It looks like the Lobos took out their frustrations over their losses to Nevada teams by beating up on the Rams. On the scoreboard and physically, as well.
The CSU players were ragging on the UNM coaches about how they were soon to be un-employed. Maybe hit too close to home, as two assistants were ejected, followed by a shouting match with one of the players outside the arena. The game was described as “chippy” throughout.
There was also a brutal blind-side pick during the game. It was executed by New Mexico’s Furstinger. I found him pretty offensive in our game too. Waving his arms around in celebration after a couple of plays. Someone might suggest to him to save his celebrations until they actually win the game.
