UNLV Team to beat in conference play

Thought I'd throw this up now, while it appears true. So we are the only team getting votes in either poll, and only the coaches poll and we received 2. Yep that's it. That is how bad the MWC is this year.

Here is the problem with that, we have a target and every team will "get up" for us and give us their best shot. So no ASU second halves for us. We can't afford it. We didn't beat Arizona, UCLA, or Wichita, so we have to hang our hat on Indiana and Oregon. We also all need to hope that the Ducks and Hoosiers start dominating and be their biggest fans (if you believe that your cheering makes a difference).

There are no resume builders in our conference this year.

NM, Boise, Fresno, SDST and CSU winning all those games together on the road would be a nice boost on the resume. No single game resume builders.

We would be a slight favorite to win the MWC.

We are thin down low, Big Z hasn't been dependable, Ben can't stay out of foul trouble. Morgan has played well and GO left the Rebels hangin. Maybe a Zone once in awhile would help us. Pressure, trap and fall back into a zone.

It is true. We are the only real basketball name in this conference. They all want to beat us more than anybody else.

As a Dodger fan I see the same thing there. Everybody in the division sees the Dodgers as their rivals. Giants, Padres, Diamondbacks, etc. They all think of the Dodgers as the team to beat.

It is the same thing in the MW with the Rebels. No catching a team in a look ahead spot. They are all looking at us.

Well rebelluver I am a giants fan ... And as much as I love beating the dodgers, I really don't feel they are the team to beat as they normally are bounced out of the postseason in the first series they play and my Giants ,well we all know what they do in the postseason

Well rebelluver I am a giants fan ... And as much as I love beating the dodgers, I really don't feel they are the team to beat as they normally are bounced out of the postseason in the first series they play and my Giants ,well we all know what they do in the postseason

I don't mean this year or next, I mean overall, year in and year out.

The Giants are the Dodgers biggest rival, I hate them with a passion. I am aware of their success in the post season... Disgustingly aware. I am just saying the Padres and Diamondbacks also consider us their biggest rival.
