UNLV signs highly touted recruit from Europe

It appears UNLV will announce a new recruit commitment later today. Menzies was able to secure the services of a "genius" and "wonderkid" according to sources on Twitter. The point guard, named Lirpa Sloof, hails from Slovenia and has played with Luka Doncic, a 2018 NBA Draft prospect, on a regular basis. Sloof has drawn comparisons to John Stockton, Ricky Rubio, and even Pete Maravich. Sloof averages 42 PPG and 11 APG in his current league, and his father, like Pekka Markannen, has encouraged his son to seek developmental opportunities in the states as a college player. Huge news on this first day of April!

Was just talking about that last night. I remember the day it happened - it was surreal. No one knew if it was real or a hoax for a while. It wasnt until he NEXT day when the story was never retracted that it seemed real to me.
