Rebels received 2 votes. UNR received 61 votes and are basically ranked 27th. Not putting much stock into it yet.
Arizona is out of the top 25 since they lost 3 straight.
Not receiving votes was Illinois who are 6-0 but haven't played anybody. Their schedule toughens up now with games against Wake Forest, Northwestern, and Maryland before they play the Rebels.
San Diego State was trounced earlier by ASU who now sits 6-0 and ranked 20th (still can't stand Bobby Hurley, emphasis on the hurl
) but had a nice win over Georgia. That was Georgia's only loss of the season and they (Georgia) had a nice bounce back win over St. Mary's who was #21 last week but dropped out of the top 25 after the loss.
Wyoming is 5-1 with their only loss coming from Cincinnati.
Boise State also is at 5-1 with their lone loss coming from Iowa St.
The MWC as a whole could be doing better but are probably better off than last year at this time.
Tough road game this week at UNI for UNLV and we'll see how they do in a very hostile environment. Looking forward to the Arizona game this week also. Next week's tilt against Illinois should also be a tough one.
Overall really enjoying watching the Rebels this year. Saw some new fans at the SUU game (I knew they were new because they were asking each other "which one is Brandon McCoy?") and glad to see more people starting to attend the games.
