I will preface this with how I hated the mid season firing and how UNLV seems to always screw things up. (not saying it isnt time for change just when and how was a circus)
I do believe that there will be a lot of names coming and going and some things behind the scenes that I will never understand yet I have faith from all the info that ive been told that this will be a very good hire. It will never make every person happy, thats just the way things are as a Rebel fan. I do think however they have enough people on board and working together that UNLV ends up with a name hire. So many things can go wrong but I believe the right people have the right idea going forward to make a difference and have UNLV come out in a better spot then they have been. I think there has been some real solid ground laid (by Livengood) for the future of the university and athletics alike. Lets just hope they keep it moving forward and start taking larger strides towards the goal. There is so much going on with football, basketball and the med school that a lot of the big donors are really starting to make a huge difference but we can not ride only their coat tails to hope something gets done. UNLV needs all to ban together, its leaders and boosters, to the fans and media and this dreams can come true. yes we all know this sounds impossible but even with all the mickey mouse things UNLV has done in the past we still are growing and moving forward..
