It can't be a good thing to be on ESPN for being on the wrong side of the biggest upset in college football history.

Should we scrap football and concentrate on hoops? Right now, football is a drain on any respect that UNLV athletics has. Something has to give.

Facilities already (or nearly) paid for alone = no.

I do agree that Sat was a complete and utter embarrassment and I was 'standing on the ledge ready to leap' that night. But it's time to move on and go to the next one.

Being where we've been all of a single season in 50 years of football, the only thing that lead to (myself included) reactions that night were high expectations and the hype machine in full effect. After being able to sleep on it (took me more than a single night LOL!) I am hoping to see some adjustments, changes and maybe even some coordinator's seats move from moderately hot to fire and brimstone hot.

Someone, other than players, needs some sort or reprimanding after an outing like that, no question. For the record I also still side with all the feelings, anger, disappointment etc etc everyone else is feeling.

Even after Howard, I don't foresee a 0-12 year, however.

BUT...it's time not just players, but staff takes some well deserved responsibility for Saturday night's train wreck. Actions speak louder than words, we learned that from the CDR era...

Hey there, in case you haven't noticed we have this forum that's called "Rebel Football" where people go to read about Rebel football. Now the beautiful people don't post there. They go to the confidential board so they don't have to suffer with us lower class citizens. Check it out.

Just Kidding!

Now UNLV is listed as #1 on the bottom 10 list. Do you think that football being a joke has an impact on basketball recruiting? (Since this has to be about basketball and all:))

Nah...we've almost always sucked at football. If anything, it gets the sports fans amped for a winner in basketball.

And then basketball disappoints too...

You say it almost jokingly... but basketball can make it easier on football. And vice versa. And they can make things extremely difficult for each other too. And that's what they've been doing. Football sucks, puts pressure on hoops. If Hoops does ok, gives FB a little breathing room. With both struggling fans are getting more and more angry or just numb.
