Does Colorado State miss? Cant remember the last time they missed a shot. Step back threes, hook shots... what the hell.
Not helpful that for a stretch it seemed like Rebs were uninterested and unwilling to look in to the paint at all.Yeeeahhhhh. Welp, this isn't going well.
I wanted to believe but after 3 straight losses...![]()
To me, the (realistic) “goal” is to finish in the top 5 and avoid the first day of MWCT play. It’s sad that that is the bar, especially considering how weak conference is. But what are you going to do? Still in good shape for that. Our conference schedule went from (relatively speaking) easy (6-1) to tough (0-4 or 1-3) to moderate (? record, 3-4/4-3, 5-2). That should give us 10 or 11 wins minimum, and that would avoid play in, IMO.This stretch of 4 difficult games worried me. 3 road games against some of the better opponents in the conference and a home game against San Diego State. I thought the team would almost certainly go 2-2, 1-3 or 0-4 and it looks it is going to be 0-4 because we stink on the road.
When San Diego State hit some key shots at the end of the last game, I was thinking to myself “Too bad that we can’t do that too.”
These 4 games were going to tell us a lot. A 2-2 record would have given the team an 8-3 record in conference.
Marv ain’t here. That means it won’t get worse.I think most realistic fans kind of expected to be 6-5 after the 6-1 start. I can see them going 4-4 the rest of the way to finish 10-8 in conference, 15-16 overall. Finishing with a losing record sucks, but there is hope for the future, I think.
