I'm going to go straight illogical on this one. The twisted logic I am going to use is that UNLV SHOULD NOT win at Boise in either game ... But we've seen many in the past like this and we win. At SDSU last year, at UNR, at Louisville way back and many others. Now in no way is Boise in that same hemisphere, but they're one of the top 3 teams in this conference, but this conference isn't special either. So they are very fallible.
They've dropped three in a row, I believe, just swept by UNR. That makes it worse for us, IMO. They've gotta be pissed and looking to get things right, so that can make for a long night for UNLV. And Alston, if he wants to be considered a player, he's gotta elevate Boise. But I stated this very early, I think Alston is good, one of the best in conference, but even as such, he's just not something amazing. So I think Boise will press things (not as in using a full court press) and they'll make things tougher on themselves. And it'll cascade into bad things. And UNLV will have guys step up.
I think UNLV will win one of two, I'm actually more apt to believe UNLV wins game two. But I'll pick UNLV tomorrow night, 79-74.
How's that for twisted logic?
