He had been contacted by over 25 schools.

Wichita State transfer Morris Udeze is announcing his decision tomorrow. The 6’8” forward averaged 10.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game last season. Top 8: New Mexico, Ole Miss, LSU, UNLV, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Texas and Georgia Tech.

I think he chooses to go elsewhere, likely UNM given his visit there a few weeks ago. We aren’t in desperate need at the PF position and he would
be sharing/competing for minutes with Rodriguez and Cottrell. He would get solid minutes, but it’s not a given that he would be THE guy at that spot. We really need another post player as it sounds like CKK is high on Cottrell at the 4.

I think Cottrell is a stretch 4 or a power 3. Not a PF like Ike. WV coach Huggins thought of him as an outside shooter and passer. Given how the game has changed with tall talented outside shooters, I am hoping he fills that need. Interesting off year. With this roster we look more like a Villanova than ever.

Would love to have him but he could get more time and lots more exposure almost anywhere else on his list. He's going to be a prized recruit for any team he joins.

I spent the last but looking for any info or predictions on Udeze. The only thing I found Is one guy who said he is pretty sure Udeze will commit to Maryland. But being that he was a home town Maryland guy I an not to sure he knows anything or he is just hoping for it. Guess we will find out in a couple

Wishing that man success....(to a certain point). But...based on stats, I am more than content with Cottrell. Way more potential. Udeze was gonna be a solid role player here, at best. Again, wishing him a fruitful collegiate career. ... I'm sure somewhere in ABQ Snake is smiling😂🙄😇.

Good get for the Lobos. We're more than ok with Cottrell. I'm hoping for more underclassman so we don't have to round up 9 recruits/transfers NEXT year just to fill out the roster when the seniors' elibility runs out.
