Things are clicking for the team, Otz is still able to discipline and send messages without compromising things, that's a really good thing.

I wasn't worried early because that's a team just being hot and the Rebels needed to get their feet wet against them. UNLV put them away with a what, 18-0 run, something like that, in the first half? It was cruise control after that. That's the way they're supposed to do it. They're finally stringing together stretches of games with focus. It's good to see.

To me, UNLV is +1 in conference, holding serve at home and winning one on the road. The goal, again to me, is to avoid the play in game and just roll with it from there. It appears there is only one "good" team in the conference and that's SDSU. Certainly only one at large team in conference. I'm assuming SDSU to hold onto their double digit second half lead in Logan, that will all but smash any at large hopes for USU barring some crazy turnaround - I think they're around 90 nationally which isn't going to be nearly enough, plus they have more losses in front of them. Nobody else did enough non-con, so it comes down to three (hopefully not four) in March. Aside from SDSU, no major upsets would be required to get the auto bid and there are enough muddled at the middle and complete grime at the bottom of the barrel to where winning a conference tournament is feasible for a few teams. I'd like to be one of those teams just to have some interest in the thing.

I mean, if you could play SDSU in the MWCT right now, would you take it? Of course you would, we all would, so would any other team in the conference. I think about 4 or 5 teams will have a shot at just that based on how the league looks.
