Offer Tony Fields

Desert Pines has been stacked the past two seasons. They probably should have won the Division I-A state championship the past two years but Moapa Valley with RJ Hubert (now signed with Utah Utes) always seemed to have their number. I think that was Desert Pine's only loss last year. The two schools had a fun little rivalry going that I followed for a bit.

A rising player at linebacker after playing safety as a sophomore. He is a player that can cover receivers in space with plenty of foot speed and the ability to close on the ball quickly. He is an excellent tackler that can deliver a thump and plays to the whistle. He also has a knack for playing behind the line of scrimmage.

Has to continue to develop his body

I like this kid a lot. Funny, in his tape at LB he seemed very instinctive, pretty explosive in a short area. As a WR he seemed a little stiff running routes not as explosive. Didn't look as comfortable playing WR. As a linebacker though he pops off the tape.

I really like this kid as a linebacker and hope he considers UNLV.

This year looks strong for Vegas HS prospects with a deeper talent pool.

Thank you

Actually at his height with his speed, he could play safety at UNLV as well. I could see him laying lumber as a strong safety as well as at the olb. They must have a plan for safety since they only recruited one.

I think the staff is excited by RS Freshman Javin White and Evan Austrie at the Safety Spot. I believe Kenny Keys is coming back as well which will help overall depth at that spot.

What are we recruiting him as? LB? Safety? He looks like he could be a good hybrid. Shows great instincts and has a nose for the ball. Really looks to bring the pain.

I think you get him in the building and see what happens with a red shirt year. See what a year with the strength coach and dieting does. Looks like he could easily add 20-30lbs to his frame.

Sanchez has talked a lot about recruiting speed and tenacity. He wants to recruit great athletes. We'll figure out the details once he gets here.

Fields certainly checks off the boxes for athleticism, speed, aggression, etc.

Is Keys getting a 5th year? If so that would be a nice unexpected add

It appears he is, looks like a few seasons ago he only appeared in few games so he might have received another year. Same goes for David Greene, who is a solid contributor on special teams and another option at FB.
