Success everywhere he's been. Was at Texas for 4 years. Never worse than 7-3. Won a bowl every year.
Not good enough for Texas. Left with a $15 million buyout and a total for $30 million for his Texas tenure.

How about this school, UNLV try for once to keep a good thing going by finding money to pay him and his staff while at the same time works to get itself into a major conference?
IMO, it's more than $$ and a wish for a better conference.
A P5 offer gives a coach a chance to play for a National Championship and football immortality, right away. A G5 job, no matter what the pay, never gets you a chance at the biggest prize.
Realistically, you're probably right. Tark didn't believe in that and he "did it in his ways" as Sinatra said. And beat the damn odds. They are changing the format of the football playoff soon, so what is the problem?
We finally got a coach who "Doing it his ways" in Arroyo. It is just not dips into the transfer portal but connected enough to who do what better than the others....he got that in spade.
