expectations just went through the roof on Maryland Pkwy. And deservedly so. Rice has everything he could possibly want for a very, very successful season. Whether or not Wood comes back, UNLV has depth at every single position. It should be able to play a number of styles, too.
I know we've said it a lot over the years, but next year has to be that turning point we've all been waiting for. I love the talent, experience, and overall mindset of this roster. I love that we can shoot from the outside or pound it into the paint. I love that our size can step out to the perimeter and stretch the defense.
What is it that concerns me? Are the Rebels going to be able to defend the guard position? Are we going to play as a team in crunch time or are players going to try and take over 1-on-1?
This season has as much potential as any I can remember. We know what nearly every member on the roster can do at the D-1 level. If this group competes on a nightly basis with a chip on their shoulder, I like our chances very much. This is now my favorite roster we've had since Tark was the head coach.
