I usually buy season football tickets so don't really pay attention to the prices, but when I went to UNLV tickets to look at the prices for single game tickets, I was surprised. The cheapest tickets in the arena are $28.25 per seat with the lowest price down on the floor being $62.50. Most of the lower bowl prices are above $100 for a single ticket. I could understand if UNLV basketball was a desired ticket, but they are still charging prices as if UNLV is a top 25 program.

While I do understand that after market prices are lower, I could easily buy byu v SDSU tickets for $12. I could get North Carolina verse Ohio St. tickets for $38. I can even go on line and buy tickets for today's' game for $18 on the secondary market.

If UNLV wants to get people to come back to the program, they need to keep the prices reasonable. The other option is to go with a mini plan which will be around $30 per game or more, but does include food deals!

The UNLV Ticketing Office is tone deaf. In Rice's second year our season ticket prices were raised by $1,500 per seat. After 20 some years of faithful attendance, we haven't been to a game since!

What’s crazy is Knights games often sell their cheap seats for over $100 and parking in the nearest casinos is $25 on event nights. And the Knights still sell those tickets.

People in Vegas have shown they will come with expansive tickets IF the product is good enough. But it will be interesting to see what happens whenever it is the Knights struggle for a few years.

Should be $15 upstairs no matter what game, no matter what available seat. Never charge more till we get some crowds. They are clueless.

This is why I won't be going to any basketball games this year or any time until they figure out that their brand isn't the same as it was 30 years ago, or even 10 years ago.

I want to support the program, but I'm not willing to spend what they are asking win or lose. When you can get Pac 12 conference games at Pauley for half the price of upper section seats at the Mack, you know they don't care about supply and demand or the economics of live events.

In what world would you rather have 5000 people at $35 a head than 12000 people at $14 a head? Sure, the gate is a little higher, but concessions will offset that easily, and THE ENVIRONMENT WON'T SUCK.

I've been to every Utah Jazz game this season. Am in the upper deck, but I've paid $15-25 for each game, and that is with Ticketmaster Fees. Now, I have found that buying a single seat all by itself is 1/2 price from the other seats. But still. Even if I wanted to do the standing room, those are usually $15-20. Some games spike higher if it's a premium game/team coming. Having to pay more for UNLV tickets seems nuts. I can go to BYU, U of Utah, Utah State for a fraction of the price over UNLV tickets. Upper deck most of these places is $10. Granted Marriott Center sucks as they are benches up higher for cheap seats. And Utah State is a rather smaller arena overall.

And on that note, just got 1st row, upper deck mid-court UNLV vs BYU Vivant Arena downtown Salt Lake $8 each.........$40 with fees, which seem rather ridiculous for this game. But anyway.
