But the same old, same old. Another home loss to a mediocre team. I wasn't expecting greatness by any stretch, wasn't expecting much, but certainly didn't anticipate such a poor start.

This sounds like something I repeated last year, but when you aren't a good outside shooting team, you can't launch 33 three pointers and only 20 two pointers. You have to develop something offensively that is far more complicated or in depth than jack up a three that you are going to hit 27% of the time. I'm sorry, it's just not offense. The defense and effort on the boards is so much better than what we saw the past three years, not that it's amazing, but it's a few notches above. But offensively, it's the easy way out, it's unimaginative.

I was thinking, though, and I really do hope this happens. I hope these things are eye openers and forces the realization that we need to get better, quicker and with what we have returning and incoming, that isn't going to be enough for a "peak" year (lots of seniors) before we presumably take a step down after losing so many players.

When you aren't depressed at 2-5, when you aren't depressed with 28 home losses or whatever it is over the past 3.25 seasons, I guess this thing isn't going to depress you at all.
