A very good source that I know, who is closely connected to the European basketball scene, has informed me that UNLV is very close to sealing the deal with a big-time recruit. Kevin Kruger has used his European contacts to put the full-court press on a 7'0 Dutch player who has drawn comparisons to Chet Holmgren and Evan Mobley. Currently an amateur, he has received offers to go professional from the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Zalgiris Kaunas. He averages around 28 points per game, along with 11 rebounds and 8 assists. I've been told a commitment is expected shortly. The player's name is Lirpa Sloof.
