I think he was cleared prior to week 1 vs USC, but concussion protocol kept him out. Wouldn't be surprised if it was staff being reserved. No need to put him out there if he isn't 100%, save the body for Ark St and then conference play. Totally conjecture, I haven't heard anything one way or the other.

It sounds like the plan initially was to use him in a reserve role, at least initially to provide depth in the backfield, even when healthy. He was expected to be cleared before last game, but maybe they decided to wait another week.
