It really feels like a bad dream i can't wake up from when i think about how far this program has fallen. Listening to the podcast the other day made it sink in all the more when Joe and TE compared our results of late to that of CSU and Wyoming. My first instinct was to get angry and disagree, but when i actually contemplated what they were saying, i knew they were 100% right.
Usually i have some semblance of hope that the Rebs can win the MWCT, but i don't harbor those delusions this season. We're just so depleted and subpar even when intact that i know we'll be done in a day or two.
But at least then the healing can begin in earnest. We'll have a new coach and staff in place a lot quicker than people realize. From there the players and recruits will decide where they want to spend next season. I'm not buying into the, "mass exodus" hype train. Some will leave. Most will stay. The hire is going to be a strong one and that will ultimately convince the majority to stick around IMO.
Beyond that, i say good riddance to 2015-16. What a downright porous and awful season to watch and be apart of. It's too bad that things turned out the way they did, but it is what it is. At least the long, drawn out off-season will be filled with news and the change this program so desperately needs.
