In the Las Vegas Sun article today the quote was "the latest outlook isn’t encouraging for sophomore Dwayne Morgan (shoulder) or freshman Derrick Jones Jr. (eligibility)."

I thought the Derrick Jones Jr. case was closed but I sure hope that UNLV reps and attorneys for DJ are fighting like crazy to get him eligible. If he somehow becomes eligible then I feel the Rebels have a real shot at winning the tournament.

Any news on the DJ case that anybody has?

Are you as optimistic as I am if DJ is eligible?
 
As of this morning, the NCAA has granted him continue financial aid, room and board. He has also been allowed to practice with the team but not play in any games.

huh? this is ridiculous. he's either eligible or not! it's black & white, there should be no grays. how the hell can he get financial aid, go to classes, eat, practice, and sleep, but NOT be allowed to play?
 
They are trying to back step and cover themselves from a lawsuit otherwise they would have stuck to the hardline. They will also look stupid with the argument that it is all about the education and that is why they hold to the testing rules when he has a 3.25 gpa in college.
 
Maybe Morgans shoulder worst than I thought but, he has all off season to rest it. Why not play? especially when the Rebs need bodies badly. Had no surgery on it. Is it an injury that could worsen by playing? What happen to the old days when players like Greg Anthony would wire his broken jaw shut during a TO and continue to play.

I wonder if they held Morgan out thinking Air Force would not be that tough a test and it would give him an extra day of recovery? Little did they know that the refs were gonna try to give the game to Air Force.

Yup, no doubt he had both in case he couldn't rig the money line calls enough, he at least cashes on the spread. That guy is a snake, there's no way he's not cashing in on his games.
 
How can they call a loose ball foul on Air Farce and we don't get free throws to win the game? RIGGED.

I don't see any way we can get up for Fresno State tonight. I hope I'm wrong, but Bulldogs -2 looks like free money.

Um, my understanding was they decided NOT to call it a loose ball foul and call in a player control foul instead. No FT's with player control fouls. It was very obviously a loose ball foul.

That was somewhat similar to a ref giving a team the ball OB instead of calling a ticky tack foul on the player that caused the ball to go OB.

They called the foul, they couldn't take it back - review showed the foul occurred and was called before time expired. So instead they magically transformed history through the power of almighty Hall to make thier call irrelevant, thereby given AFA YET ANOTHER unfair chance for life.

It was a sham. I'm sure even AFA fans can admit it.

Also, looking forward to seeing Graham get called for his first offensive foul for creating space with his off arm when he has the ball.
 
I wished and hoped that Dave Hall wouldn't ref the game because he reffed the Pac-12 game right before that down the street. I was wrong and he obviously made the trip east to damn near hand AF the win and tire out the Rebs with 3 OTs.
 
Most bias ref ever. Hall wants it to be all about him. The guy is going to blow the whistle on certain plays no matter what.

That call makes you question wether your sane, I mean seriously like that call was blatant, player control foul with no shots, how in the hell does he even have a job today after that call, people are fired for a lot less then that idiocracy
