This was the first time this year I got a little excited for our BB team & coach. There were a number of positives on the court but what really stood out was the radio show after the game. OTZ came right out after the game when normally the coach comes out during the 3’rd segment after speaking to the team. Tonight he obviously told them to wait for him to come back. He was visibly upset and his answers were short. He was ready to get back to the locker room and chew some ass. My kinda coach. Snowflakes won’t last long here.

Yeah, And the Biggest Snowflake seems to be COTZ himself! He is in over his head IMO.
I’m not defending our play, it’s been awful. And I think we should be further along that we are.
But Otz isn’t a snowflake. He melts them. He’s high accountability and responsibility. And I do think he’s breaking some eggs.
i always stick around and watch them do the show after the games and I am telling you that there was no coach speak going on last night and there was fire in his eyes. He was visibly upset with how things transpired and he cut the interview short so he could get to the locker room and start taking care of business.
No CMM hugs & kisses & handshakes going on out there, just one pissed off coach that hates losing & is gonna work his ass off to get it fixed.
Agree completely. Personality and philosophy, he’s the polar opposite of Menzies, which is an absolute strength. Doesn’t mean he will succeed, but they’re attributes I like. There are a few things that concern me, but his MO isn’t one of them, which is refreshing given the used car salesman/Jussie Smollet/constant smokescreen and deflection show we endured for 36 months.
I wouldn’t have know Smullett’s name except for you using it often. To me, it’s a punchline I can’t stop laughing at. Sorta like “idiot” from the other idiot on here.
I don’t know the dates, but they were very close, maybe two or three weeks apart. Smollet baited, then Munchies did the same. Both very sad, pathetic and nefarious attempts. One was personal to me because he focused it on the fan base, which we are all part of. What made it worse is it was an intentional quick poison act - here, lets put this out there, let it seep for a few seconds, now let’s backtrack and try and make it go away, but hope the planted seedlings take hold and it festers and sprouts while we remain “innocent” witnesses. And that media was in on it… it’s the world we live in. Let the media and social media be the propaganda machine and turn complete lies into “truth”. It works when so many people can’t formulate their own opinions and thoughts.
I wasn't a Menzies hater I understand why they cut ties had no problem with it, granted its early in the season but some of the complaints attributed to MM haven't changed. Attendance is horrible, winning time is maybe even worse, first two overtime losses came with ball in hand last shots coming off timeouts we get shot clock violations that is pure garbage. Then with 4 minutes plus left with SMU chucking up 3's again winning time is losing time.
I like Otz and Kruger Co. I have to believe they will get this turned around. The schedule is better and I'm sure will continue to improve in the future. I've got to give this guy time to get his boys inserted into his system dare I say, slow and steady. I don't see Otz as a snowflake he's tireless worker blue collar I'm still on board frustrated yes but engaged.

I don't think people are judged by their actual work. I think it's a combination of many things not just ones resume. The blind Faith a person gives person a compared to the blind fury and hate they give person b is cccccccrrraaaaazzzzyy. Is this a form of privilege???
Anyway, not sure what the problem is. You would think paying your next coach 40% more than your last would lead to better results but I also think time should be givin. It's the beganing of the season though. Still don't think there's an excuse for the product that's on the floor though. It's not like you're playing Mooring and Clyburn in their first d1 games or something like that. You have the pieces to succeed. I'm glad that this coach will be judged different than the last though because lmfaaaaoo CMM didn't get half the patience Otz is and will be getting. In short we have to look towards next season..... again
