I don’t know if anybody here knows Dutch personally, I don’t.

But you gotta figure, if SDSU keeps rolling and ends with an impressive year, he will be a hot commodity for a higher level job, one that SDSU won’t be able to compete with.

It’s easy to think he’s married to SDSU, he may well be. But with Fisher, he made his mark elsewhere, made his money, found a secure spot to build once again and hand it off. That doesn’t mean Dutch himself is in love with that job. He may wear a MAGA hat in private and hate the hell out of California. Who knows?

He was born in Michigan, graduated from U Minnesota, assisted at South Dakota State and at U Michigan under Fisher before following him to SDSU. I’m sure it was a smart follow, he knew that with success and given Fisher’s age, he’d probably have a D1 job. It happens quite a bit. But a lot of times, your roots are your roots and they mean something significant. Some don’t give a crap. I don’t know how he is as a person.

Anybody?
