pretty fair assessment. May be overstating the importance of Armani going down last year. I agree it was an impact, but I'm not convinced that was a difference between a winning season or not.
At ASU, yeah, it was drizzly. But those weren’t misfires because of a wet ball. Not saying it didn’t have some impact. But he was off everywhere, some guys were wide open all over the field and he wasn’t close.I don't think it was either.
He was barely a 50% passer through 4 games. Sure you can give him a pass vs USC, but he struggled with accuracy vs UTEP and Prarie View. (I don't want to hear about the weather at Arkansas State their QB was like 21-28..)
He threw multiple TDs in the Prarie View and UTEP games, but he was still hovering just over 50% against two really bad teams.
Armani is a dynamic player, but unless he gets better as a passer it's going to be another struggle to get to 6 wins.
