Broke the top 100. Some really nice progress.
I really think so. There will be some negative posts out there. But who cares. This is real progress. I seriously believe that TS & company are on track. We will see. I do expect some more surprises in recruiting this year. Merry Christmas to the Rebels & Fans!
I'm just imagining this thread on the basketball board:
"So what? We know Sanchez [Rice] can recruit. But he's a terrible coach!"
Love what Sanchez is bringing to recruiting, and our performances throughout the year have me optimistic that the coaching will bring us many more wins when there is better talent here.
Nothing but positives so far from this staff.

Schedule a little more favorable this year. Heading into this season I thought 2-4 wins. I think 5-7 is a possibility next year.
Extreme winning and losing are usually ok for message boards..It's middling results (see basketball the last 20+ years) that create all the chaos. It tends to create two diametrically opposed factions.
That is also before Stanton was given a grade which probably will be 3*. Which would bump us over Purdue!!!

But one of those two wins by Purdue was against Nebraska and they played a lot of very good teams pretty well. So being tied with them right now is pretty good considering everything. We are on our way.
Really need to get 6 wins so we can make a Bowl. That would be huge for the program.
I've always thought that the extra time a team gets to practice for the future during the prep time for a bowl is invaluable.
Johnny should be a 5.7 rr 3 star at the very least. He won't get ranked as a 4 Star like he should be since they missed so badly on him going into the season.
I ll take a former four star who got hurt than a former 5 star who was a bust. Stanton has a lot of talent, but we'll really need someone like Rogers to come in with him. Rogers needs a mentor. Sanchez needs to get Randel Cunningham talking with Rogers. That might be the one factor needed to get Rogers here is literally our great qb ever has a similar build and skill set as he does.
Yup. I've yet to meet a HC who didn't think that it was a major advantage and I've met a lot of them.
Absolutely. Case in point: we got all that extra practice a couple of years ago going into the HoD Bowl and it helped us right back to a 2-win season and a new coach. Yep, always something to be gained!
I love the buzz. This team will go bowling next year. With in 2 years we will push BS & STDSU.

I am not so sure that it will be BSU that we are pushing, since it look like they may continue to slide downwards. Even their recruiting has dropped off from where it has been. In the past seasons they would pick up 2-3 4* players and it looks like they may only have one this year.
I'm not surprised CS is # 1 new stadium I know their push is to go to Big 12.
Regarding us I'm pumped CTS has got something and that's a motor that never quits he wants to build a legacy here at UNLV he wants to be the Tarkanian of football and be the one who gets us in the Power 5. Lets face it we are basically in a Div II plight we look like the old WAC. Strategy start dominating the west division win the MWC and go bowling. It's doable good things on the horizon. QB big pick up!
Pure speculation, but if funding is there expect an official announcement after new year. Maybe when he introduces new class?

Operative word, YET. I really think we will hear more about the football facility soon, Sanchez and company have been selling it to recruits since arriving on Campus, I dont think they would mention something like this to potential players unless they were pretty sure it would get done.
Seeing how fast the baseball clubhouse is being completed, this project could potentially be in use by next spring/summer.
Just had to point out that Purdue isn't as bad as their record.You had to go there...
