Currently Rivals has UNLV at 65th without even including Jaylen Lane who is one of the highest rated recruits. UNLV has a 2.57 average rating with 765 points. They currently only show 14 recruits with Jaylen Lane (highly rated for class) and Jackelyn Morgan missing from the list.

Last year UNLV had a 2.15 average rating on 28 players (six 3* and one 4* player)
This year UNLV has an average 2.57 rating on 14 players (eight 3* - nine if you count Jaylen)

Average rating for MWC team in order of points:
UNLV 2.57 765
CSU 2.24 705
FSU 2.33 630
SDSU 2.42 615
AF 1.79 585
unr 2.15 555
NM 2.08 480
Boise State and other teams don't have enough recruits to be rated yet. Based on the current BSU recruits, UNLV is neck and neck with them. If we could pull off a 4* recruit that would most likely seal the #1 rank for MWC recruiting.

Currently 247 has UNLV at 56th with an 83.30 rating 16 commits and #1 in the MWC. Fresno State has 12 commits with an 83.42 rating. Boise State has 6 commits with an 83.63 rating. All other teams have lower average ratings with SDSU the closest at an 83.00 rating. unr has 15 commits with an 82.01 rating, which is the second year in a row that unr is getting blown out by UNLV recruiting.

Thanks for taking the time to put this all here!!

I haven't followed recruiting as close as usual this currently aside from when I see a player announcing in a few days and unlv is on shortlist. Are there are 4* kids in 21 class that have unlv in position to maybe be the pick?

Looking like BSu is going to pass UNLV in the rankings and will be very close with Fresno and Sdsu. Hoping we land a couple 4 star recruits

It is the couple of currently unranked recruits that drag UNLV down. If they get ranked, it would move UNLV up signficiantly.

I am looking forward to recruiting getting even better when we can have on campus visits. Hell we may get lucky and pull a 5 star recruit at some point. We finally have facilities and a coaching staff to complete.

if there is a 5 star recruit that would turn down every school in the nation to sign with UNLV and play in the MWC, I’d have serious concerns about that kid. There are a total of 12 5 star recruits in the class of 2021 ESPN rankings. This isn’t basketball where a 5 star can go to a school in a lower tier conference and dominate for a year and leave.
