We open the season beating UNR two out of three. Maddux pitched a gem. He kept it going from last year where he was excellent on many outings. He has been unlucky in the wins and losses. He is a good series starting pitcher. Has major league potential.
I still think we need a new centerfielder. Been watching him for a few years and he is not a good defensive outfielder. Gets bad junps on the ball numerous times I have watched him. But still starts . We can get better there. He cost Maddux a win already.
So we have dropped two fly balls in three games this year. On course for a record..
I believe we will be in the running for a conference title. Go get it Rebs...

Very glad to hear that Maddux is still doing well and I hope that we improve the defense behind all the pitchers (especially in that crucial position).

At least we beat UNR in something, we need good season.
