RB Michael Allen leaving as well

The issue is the way he also phrased it...

I believe he was brought in by Marion. Marion is also the reported assistant that made Sluka the verbal offer. If these 2 have a similar "verbal offers/expectations" i.e. starting or $$, thats not a good look for your OC.

Best of luck to him, he committed to a very full RB room already. Cant blame him to want to go get playing time elsewhere, but he couldnt have waited a few days and just sat out?

“Expectations for opportunities were not met.” Doesn’t sound like a money issue.

Re playing time: why would a coach bring someone in and tell them “I expect you to get xyz touches.” No one would say that. Expectations are a self driven mechanism. He had expectations coming here and they weren’t met.

I don’t see this the same way you do; Mask

I get it.. wouldnt have been my first conclusion either had it happened in a vacuum without last nights announcement.. But you could definitely read into "Expectations for opportunities" to also imply opportunities to earn more NIL money through marketing appearances, etc... I hope its more just wanting Playing time, think thats all it is... but after last nights stuff unfolding, its rough timing to be just about playing time...

Good. Go hide in Sluka’s ass, or his dads. Your choice. Next man up…..
I don't get the hate with this one. HE expected to play, he didn't, he has one more year of college football. HE should be able to end his career playing on the field.

I'd give anything to go back for one last season as the sexiest libero in D2 volleyball.

He chose to ride on Slukunts media day - he’s a punk and he can go

Makes me wonder how much kids study. Look at last year. Four players with significant carries. The wealth is spread.

This year it’s five, including him. Did he think he was going to be the featured back who gets 200 carries per year? I feel safe in my assumption that neither Odom nor Marion told him that.

If you know the score ahead of time, quit your bitching.

Marion has always been public about the “running backs by committee” and “how you play without the ball determines how much you love your teammates.”

He knew what he was getting into. He was just arrogant enough to believe he would be RB1 on day 1.

To his credit he later tweeted that his decision had nothing to do with NIL and was about opportunity. (Playing time I'm guessing)

I thought that was a pretty mature and stand up thing to do considering the poop storm surrounding UNLV.

Could have easily left it open ended making UNLV look worse.

Exactly. Reportedly he left a week ago with little fanfare and then his former QB1 quits. Im sure he started getting hit up for comments on why he left, was it for NIL etc so he decided that he needed to say something to not get attached to the QB that quit.

Yep I'm sure not getting reps he thought he would resulted in some bad feelings. But he took the high road.

I think he posted the second message due to the media that was attempting to tie him to the SLUTka nil BS, which has nothing to do with why he left. I think he also has a lot more respect for the coaching staff than SLUTka, and wasn't going to write anything negative. I also wonder if his lack of ball touching as an RB had a lot to do with SLUTKA the ball hog?

100% agree.

Yeah, I said earlier after he posted I was glad for clarification.
With the other news the timing sucked. He's getting lumped in with the Sluka story as we get raked across the coals
