This article does not think too highly of this team and program.

I think we are a bit better than what this says.

Didn't read the article, so i can't comment on that. I skimmed the tiers. But the author is a USU alum and former employee it seems.

No doubt SDSU and Wyoming are a notch above all others. After that, there are changes that could reasonably be made in every tier.

Also worth noting: why should anybody think UNLV is above average? Just a general food for thought question. Not unreasonable for UNLV to be in a third tier in general though.

He put us just a hair above Air Force and SJSU. I think that is a bit harsh.

I'm not covinced that Boise is that good. I would put SDSU above the rest.

I can see why he has us where he does. UNLV has been middle of the pack for awhile now why would anybody have them top half until they can prove otherwise. We will see a lot about this team tomorrow night but for now I can't really argue much in that article. Hopefully Wednesday morning I can call bs on him but not for now.

Lets be real, I'm mostly PO'd that he has us clearly lower than Reno.

At least put us in the same category!

Let's all hope they follow the same trajectory as their football team. I think the guy is basing his optimistic outlook for UNR on Alford's history with the Lobos. Coaches don't always follow up with the same success at new schools though. Even Tark couldn't conjur the same magic with Fresno St. that he had at UNLV.
