The Later... if you believe the preseason evaluations they were both very close in camp this year so I imagine Sluka was promised his opportunity. Last year I think it was intended to lean on the experienced QB and until Doug got hurt and it was obvious that Maiava was really talented for a freshman that he was given control. Alot of coaches are hesitant to start a true freshman, especially right out of the gate so I get last years choice. This year probably all about a recruitment promise.. lucky for us, we recruited 2 QBs that were competent and good at what they do..

Given that Marion is probably gone, it is much safer to have a Pass first QB than a run first QB, unless we go all out for a triple option type team.

All I've seen is commentary based on teams wanting the Go-Go and fans wanting change or there being an opening, unlike last year. Seems like focused on winning this weekend rather than discussing job offers and flying around
Honestly, I think hes going to Tulsa. Maybe they're just waiting till all the conference stuff is played out to do so but the fact that we havent seen any conversation around his alma mater job opening seems to me that either he has no interest in leaving, or theyre focusing on the games and the rest will follow once thats played out this year.
