I can't find any tape of him playing linebacker. Profile says Hutchinson community college but I don't think he played there. I don't think he played anywhere last year. But the high school tape I saw he looked like a good player. Now he's 250 lbs should be a very interesting project to watch.

He was a RB in high school and didn't play much if any on defense. He was actually a higher rated player as a running back when he graduated high school in 2017. He ran for over 2000 yards and had close to 30 touchdowns. He was a huge RB.

I'm thinking his grades held up his college career. Schools would come around to take a look at him then backed off.

From what I can tell he transitioned to LB at Scottsdale Community College. He may have played there for the 2017 & 2018 season. In 2018 he had this award "LB Princeton Lollar - 1st-Team All-WSFL & 1st-Team All-Region".

Scottsdale Community College "Fighting Artichokes" dropped football after the 2018 season. The State of Arizona stopped supporting 5 community colleges for their football programs so they all dropped the sport. He was not on the roster for Hutchinson CC.

I'm thinking Lollar then went to Hutchinson CC to continue working on his grades. Usually we want JUCO guys to come enroll in January like our two other JUCO guys did. It doesn't sound like his academics are where they should be at this time. When he signed with us he said he was interested in pursuing a degree in either Psychology or Physiology. You would think that with 3 years of CC classes he would know by now.

Will be watching to see if he enrolls in the summer. This is probably his last chance.

Pretty logical analysis.

Lollar's JUCO HUDL profile indicates that he most recently played for the Maricopa Mustangs in Mesa, Arizona, which is where the coach from Scottsdale moved to.

I don't fully understand how "JUCO" football functions in Arizona now. The few teams that remain are privately funded and the players must enroll in JUCOs, but the teams are not part of the college (?)

Good question. This is what I'm learning:

Coach Madoski who coached Lollar at SCC started a new JUCO conference called the Hohokam Junior College Athletic Conference in January 2019. It has no direct affiliation with any Junior College. The conference allows players from any Junior College whether by physical attendance or on-line classes to participate. Perhaps this is what Lollar has done. He may be taking on-line classes at Hutchinson CC and then playing for one of the four teams in the conference. As you say the Mustangs are one of those teams in the conference.

When you think about it it's almost like Pop Warner in its organization. My kid played Pop Warner and the kids on his team came from many area schools.

In Arizona I've read at least 7 Junior Colleges dropped the sport.

It increased to five teams. This seems like a league that Las Vegas could participate in, with players going to CSN or doing online classes. Just need a sponsor...

"The HJCAC is a nonprofit league consisting of five private, corporate-funded football programs that are slated to begin play Aug 24. Four are located in Maricopa County; the fifth is in Tucson. Participating players are required to enroll in local community colleges to work toward an Associate of Arts degree. Although they aren’t technically playing for those schools, the goal remains the same: to send as many student-athletes to four-year universities as possible."

You are right. I wasn't counting the Tucson team. Travel for the games from Las Vegas might be tough. The league is a very interesting concept though. They currently have some sponsors as I read that the head coach gets a salary of $40k. For guys like Madoski who is also a high school coach and then coaches the HJCAC team on his high school field it's a good way to make a few extra bucks doing something he loves.
