guys, I’m a little bit upset about UNLV’s lack of recognition of the 1990 championship. It’s not exactly what is spurring me to do it, but it adds some fuel. Pride is the primary motivation though. Other reasons as well.
Anyway, I’m going to wake up very early and do a solo podcast tomorrow before 630 am work. I don’t intend on being long. Flying solo, I expect it to be a mess, they’re easy to do as conversation, solo will be tough especially since mentally, I’m really not as sharp as fluid as I used to be (honestly). So stay with me, I’m apologizing in advance for any choppiness, I’m sure it’ll fly on some tangents and there might be a few too many silent spots. Not really sure how it’ll go, I’m just going to sort of let it fly. The intent isn’t to be a clean, professional, well polished podcast ... I just want to give one fans viewpoint about what it was like for me... the school, the city, the program, some of the games. I do think it’s kind of important to digitalize (digitize?) some things from our past greatness. Because they’ll disappear as we age. And I think knowing your history is important. Or can be important. Some “facts” may be a little off, excuse me for those, going by a pre-Alzheimer’s mind, I just want to get something out there, give people something to listen to, take their minds off things, a chance to reminisce and remember, maybe a time to learn, maybe both. I shouldn’t have waited until last second, this was planned long ago as a duo job but social distancing, you know. I’ll do my best to have it up early.
