If we haven't signed our coach within 2 weeks and it looks like we will be getting shut out on signing any of the coaches on our wish list the perception among our current players and our recruits will be that we are settling for someone instead of getting who we want. This won't play well with recruits, boosters or fans. Tick Tock Tick Tock. Not the time to wet your finger and stick it in the air to see which way the wind is blowing. This is the time when the AD & President need to step up and give the University and Community the leadership they were hired to provide.

How do you know that is what players and recruits think. The good coaches we are interested it were all playing in the big dance and we're a little too busy to do an interview. Archie Miller and Jamie Dixon are now available but Brad Underwood is still dancing. It takes time and I believe the players and recruits know that.

Probably have through April. Takes time, and patience, which people have little of in this day and age.

I'm actually encouraged. It appears that the committee is taking their time and really looking at a lot of candidates instead of panicking and grabbing the first coach that is interested. I don't care how long it takes as long as we get the best coach out there for our program.

A lot of deals get made during final four weekend. If we don't land a big name by then look for them to go after a coach like Kermit Davis at Middle Tennessee St. In the last five yeas he has won 123 games with four league championships, two NCAA births and of course his big upset of Michigan St. In the first round. He started out at Idaho where he went 50-12 in two seasons before going to Texas A&M and getting in trouble.

Tick tock tick tock. No Miller, no Underwood and no Dixon. I hope Cronin isn't playing us or the egg will be all over our face for all to see. Never claimed to know what the players think but I do think that is becoming apparent based upon some of their tweets. All I said is that if we haven't signed any of the coaches on our wish list it would look like we were settling. Hope they know what they are doing or we would have been a lot better off just stepping up from the outset and thrown our support behind Augmon, Simon or Miller and make it look like this was our guy and who we wanted to have here from the get go.

Now no Miller, no Underwood, no Dixon & no Cronin. Tick Tock Tick Tock. Next thing we may be hearing is that Augmon and our Miller have moved on.
