OT Transfer now on board!

I'm trying to keep my expectations for next season in check...

But if he nabs a couple guys that are rumored to be in the mix...

Best way to put it..

Anything less than 5-7 would would be pretty disappointing...
Not that we finished strong in terms of wins and losses, but I did think we saw something critical - a cohesiveness - or maybe less, just not falling apart when it could have. I could be wrong, maybe it’s just the optimist in me - but to me, not quitting when quitting is a hallmark of the program - that’s hopefully part of the instilled culture. If so … and he’s adding important quality pieces ….. we might have one of those years where at least we have the luxury of crossing our fingers in hopes for an above 500 season and a possible bowl berth instead of giving up on the season in the third week of September.

Yeah, it’s easy to say “just show up and support!” … but fans do need something to rally around, there has to be some hope, reasons to stay engaged.

It's depressing that I'm getting more excited about off-season football that in-season basketball.

Sorry guys, I don’t actually have a list of names. I know it’s strange. Just learning of the directions, plans, intentions. Still expect more P-5 guys though. People are excited.
Are you buying that the portal was the plan all along? We only signed about a third of a normal high school class.

I believe it was absolutely the plan. Only question was whether they’d be able to execute it. New rules in transfers not having to sit out make more difficult for non P5 teams like UNLV to build through HS prospects because guys like Windmon will leave for P5 schools when they get the opportunity.

Biggest issue with is team chemistry and getting everyone to buy in. Everyone is coming in has different experience on how a program is run. Getting everyone to buy into how HE does things and getting everyone to gel and be cohesive will by Arroyo’s biggest challenge.

I watched the first 5 series he played against Georgia on YouTube. This guy can play. He was at left tackle and he played pretty darn well against that elite UGA defense. He did get beat for a sack on 3rd&10. Defensive end got around him but other than that I'm telling you this guy can play. I see him starting at one of the tackle spots next year. He played right tackle last year and this year left tackle. If you want to take a look he's number 55 left tackle for Charleston Southern versus Georgia bulldogs.
