FUTAH is trying to prove a point by running up the score, according to their head Coach the Las Vegas Bowl is beneath them since they are now in with PAC-12 and they are deserving of a Bowl with more prestige. Funny thing is that if FYBU accepted the PAC-10 invitation offer UTAH wouldn't even be in the PAC-12 right now!

Running up the score? How to you figure? Utah had something like 11 offensive plays and 35 points because BYU turnovers, including two pick sixes. Do you ask the DB's to kneel it after the INT? Did you just gander at the score and assume they were running it up or is that what you really think happened????? Utah became conservative after up 35-0. Certainly not running it up...

We didn't run it up when we put up 80 this season. They just gave it away and didn't stop us at all.

I agree. I watched the final couple of minutes and had to see Utah just squeak by. I was hoping to see 80-8 on the scoreboard.

In all honesty, in that first quarter, they would have been far better off taking a knee for 3 downs and punting (Waterboy style).

Obviously you would never do that, but it was that bad with their offense to start the game.
