There is a real easy solution, all of the other high schools in the area just refuse to play St. John Bosco. How hard will it be for St. John to sign players if they are getting paid? The simple fact this will just accelerate the drop in participation of kids in high school football which has been in a steady decline over the last 2 decades dropping to under a million players for the first time since the 90's even while the US population has increased by 50 million.
As we see the gap between the have and have not programs continue to increase, more and more schools will drop football and less and less kids will try out for the team when they know they will not be competitive with the have schools!
