Dude, I want to to see Quiet Riot at the Cannery Craig location Saturday at 8 pm. With Stryper. I’ll be honest, I don’t know any Stryper songs.

Dude I really like Rudy Sarzo and hope to meet him.

What do you guys think of this band. Kevin Dubrow died here in Vegas. Bad ass front man.

They were pseudo metal, glam rock, bubble gum crap.

Kevin was a bit of a whack job. The band could play though, they just opted for the money route.

Do you know who founded the original quiet riot in the early 70’s? One of the best guitarists of all time, imo.

Dude Kevin Dubrow is an underrated front man.

This is their tribute song to Randy when Ozzy poached him.

I’m a Christian but I have never seen Stryper.

Dude..metal health was bad ass. They need to thank Slade for ripping off 2 of their songs. Condition Critical was awful and QR 3 was dead on arrival.

Public Enemy at iHeartRadio
Hey I saw a clip of Chuck D about Elvis Presley. He put it in context that he was speaking from a black person’s perspective about Elvis given that it was from Do the Right Thing. So like a person from the 80’s wouldn’t give a shit about Elvis.

I’m glad he cleared that up. Total professional.

Quite Riot Sucked back then _ nobody like QR - except 15 year old boys and 12 year old girls who watched a lot of MTV - true metal heads and Rockers thought they were POSERS - anybody who read Hit Parader and all the other METAL MAGS knew Kevin Dubrow was a duche bag and NOT part of the COOL kids - but hey - If you like them - cool - but lets set history correct

Kevin loved the life, he was all about it. He was a glory hound. He wasn’t about the music. But those guys can actually play, but they opted for the bubble gum route. That’s ok, it was easy, the money was there, they were melodic and radio wave friendly.

They were O’Douls. I know Scrub is a major Bud Light fan. But they weren’t even that.

Anybody who thrashed didn’t purchase a QR or Poison album … or later Def Leppard (sell outs), Twisted Sister, etc. Not saying the music isn’t catchy and fun, but metal isn’t catchy and it’s not fun.

lol - Public Enemy is awesome.
Glad Chuck and Flav are getting along (at the moment)
I owned the white/blackJordan 4 jumpsuit in Junior High that I bought at the meadows mall for 120 dollars that Flavor Flav woreIt was a medium so it looked super baggy on me.

Best metal/rap collab of all time.

Joe Knows - that is the truth - He probably remembers the MOby Grape too and the whole scene _ hell he probably partied with Slaughter...LOL - good times- ..... Its funny these days - The kids and their old throw back concert shirts - My daughter got a Rolling Stones shirt ? she is 13 - I laughed my ass off knowing she has NO idea of any songs they sing nor would she like them. Back in our day when you wore a concert shirt to school it Meant Something - It meant YOU actually went to the concert. Circa - 1986-1987- "Yeah thats right _ i was at the Aladden on SAt NIght MF'ers and I spent $22 on this shirt (which would be like spending $80 on a shirt these days) "----if you wore your concert shirt to school on Monday _ you were Sooooo cool that Monday. It all started with Ozzy and Motley Crue at the Mack when I was in 7th grade - Vegas was so cool - WE even had our own MTV channel on UHF ---lol I think that's how channel 33 (or whatever it is) got its start

The Aladdin was a great venue, the Mack was awful. And you and I were at the same Ozzy/Crue concert, I believe that was the Bark at the Moon tour with Motley Crue. I think it was several months after Crue released the Shout at the Devil album which I absolutely loved. Bark at the Moon was ok, his first two Albums were his best (Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman) …. And you are right about concert t-shirts …. They were a badge of honor - because you couldn’t find second hands or even knockoffs in the mall, you couldn’t buy them online or even though a magazine, you had to attend the concert (or give a friend money).

Vegas had only a couple handful of rock concerts in the late 70’s, early to mid 80’s and they were all circle the calendar dates. I’d go to concerts for groups I wasn’t crazy about because they were still events. I didn’t go to them all. But it seemed like the typical groups were Ozzy, VH, Scorpions, Priest, Leppard, Dio, AC/DC …

It was a great, great time in Vegas.
