I wish espn would stop having him announce games. He is my far the dumbest commentator I have ever had to listen to. I have to put the game on mute if I want to watch a game where he is announcing. For as good as he was playing the game he sure is stupid when commentating. The other announcer has called him an idiot essentially 10x without directly calling him an idiot (which I'm sure that is what he wants to call him).

I actually agree with you.... Half the time he sounds like hes drunk or high because of what he is talking about and half the time Idk what he is saying...
I don't think anyone has a clue what he is talking about. His partner on the ucla game tonight didn't either. He ruins the game because I have to mute it.
I watched about 5 minutes of game and his partner said 3 times Can I get a word in? Walton just kept talking and tota;;y ignored him. Loved Walton as a player. Long term hippi drug effect.

Walton, by far, is my favorite commentator. i watch for entertainment and he provides it. crazy side stories that have nothing to do with even the planet make me laugh.

I enjoy listening to him half the time. Probably because he just doesn't follow same cliches other commentators use when calling the games.

Met Bill several times over the years. Great great guy. Loved the back and forth between he and Snapper Jones when they called games for NBC back in the 90s,would crack me up. Bill has been a big supporter of Jerry's going back many years now.
