I really think he could be a special player for us. There was some interesting videos of him from high school on twitter (Grimala I believe) and his quickness and explosiveness was noteworthy. Apparently he had some sort of injury and gained a few pounds that he was still carrying around last year. From the recent pics I have seen of him he looks to be trimmed down quite a bit.

This year he might average 12-15 pts/gm and before he is done he could realistically be a 15-20 pt guy. He has a nice outside shot, drives pretty good and is very strong around the bucket. If there was one area he really needed to work on was his rebounding. Slightly disappointed in what he grabbed last year but with McCoy and Juiston gobbling up so many that could be the reason.

Some have expressed they don’t think he can guard the 3 but he did last year quite well. Unfortunately for all the perimeter players there wasn’t any help to be found around the bucket & that includes Juice. If his D has improved significantly and Dione & Dembele can figure out how to stay on the court things could be looking up.

Really looking forward to what Hamilton brings to the table!

This very issue was brought up by me on the Confidential Board a few weeks ago and also at some point during last season. I guess Mike G get's some of his info from Rebel.Net! That's fine by me and I do feel NuNu is athletically quick enough and explosive enough to play the 3 both offensively and defensively IF he is at the proper playing weight. Also, he did suffer a injury his junior year and did put on weight. But that's not an excuse and it's on him and the staff to make sure he is at optimum playing weight if he wants to play the 3. From what I know he wants very badly to play the 3 and the position is wide open for now. Also, LaFleur is really big on making sure players lean out and get stronger and Mooring was noticeably leaner his senior year. So we will see how this plays out because NuNu is a skilled and talented scorer and going into his junior year before his injury he was a ranked top 50-75 by most services. Let's see if NuNu put in the work in the weight room by getting stronger and leaner in the off season. If so, he could be a really good player for UNLV this year. NuNu much leaner and pre-injury as a sophomore and ranked by ESPN #58 in the country:

Good stuff C3! Do you agree that possibly a lack of aggressiveness on the boards was one of his biggest shortcomings other than a lack of D-1 experience?

Practice started today. I like what Menzies said. It’s an open practice and everybody will get their chance to win a job..

I also prefer using no nicknames. Tell me the players real name. I’ve been a longtime fan and I already forgot Nunu’s name ! Also no initials please....JJ AB CMM LBJ JFK not allowed....

Trevell Beck? I didnt look it up, so I might be wrong!

And oh yeah, good luck spelling everyone's name!
