the team hasn’t looked focused for awhile now and given the break coming up, this wasn’t all that surprising. No, Northern Colorado isn’t good, but they wanted it more. UNLV just isn’t getting solid effort right now.
That’s the risk you run. Playing so many of these teams can breed complacency. We aren’t above that, obviously. And that’s where we are at. An uninterested, bored team. It’s not a big deal. It’s not a cry for help. It’s not an “uh oh, they’ve peaked” or a trending downward or a getting tired. It’s pure, straight, boredom.
That’s why I’m grateful conference season is here. No, it’s not a good conference but it’s a clean slate, new season and the games mean more. I think they’ll bring it big time and we will see the focus we saw a few weeks ago.
