Local kid out of Coronado commits to UNLV. 6'5" 290 OT
We definitely need more depth and size on the lines! Can't teach size
He has great raw athletic ability along with great hand and foot quickness. He needs a lot of refinement with technique, footwork & overall skill to remain as an offensive tackle.

Personally, I expect him to develop as an offensive guard where he has the potential to be an excellent player.

He looks like a good OG right now. RT is something he will have to work hard at, IMO.He has great raw athletic ability along with great hand and foot quickness. He needs a lot of refinement with technique, footwork & overall skill to remain as an offensive tackle.

That is something to keep an eye on. Our last 3 commits have 0 other D1 FBS offers. The first 3 commits of the 22' class were big time high level recruits. I think about 95% of the recruits in the first 2 classes had other FBS offers (many with P5 options). Hopefully the staff is seeing something special with these guys and we aren't trending back to the Hauck days of competing against FCS schools. 2022 can still be another good class but I do think it's going to be tough to have another top 3 MWC class if we don't start winning some games soon.So far some of our recruits are resembling guys that Hauck signed in terms of who we are recruiting against. Maybe they are diamonds and Arroyo has that eye. Maybe they are Texas Southern and Southwest Wherever State level, though.
I'd probably go more of the JUCO route overall to build us up quicker and field competitive teams. Plus, you know what you're getting, more or less, versus high school kids who may or may not develop. That's just my $0.02, and my opinion isn't even worth that.
