Nick Blair to walk on

It was just posted on twitter that Nick Blair, F, 6-5, will return home to Las Vegas and will walk on at UNLV next season. He played at Bishop Gorman & graduated in 2015. He last played for Idaho Vandals who were his only D1 to offer. He was listed as a Redshirt sophmore. I'm guessing he will be immediately eligible. Anyone else know more?

2016-17: Appeared in 19 games… averaged 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest… scored six points at South Dakota State… grabbed four boards in Idaho’s win at Montana.

2015-16: Appeared in 27 games, starting one… made his Vandal debut against Linfield, scoring one point… averaged 3.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game… shot 48.2 percent from the field on the season… scored a season-high 16 points at Montana State, going 4-8of-8 from beyond the arc… scored in double-figures three times… grabbed a season-high seven boards against New Hope… recorded five-plus boards five times.

TBH, if he has a free ride at Idaho I'm not sure why he doesn't finish his free education. Sure a story in there somewhere. Probably not getting play time at UNLV. Maybe he is homesick or something.

The quick search I saw was the 2015 roster had him as "CLASS: Redshirt". I didn't catch the date my mistake Sorry
