effort for most of the game. Team was pretty focused, played stupidly for just a short stretch in the second half, but bounced back from it.... Nice to see this sort of game after the past 5 weeks.
SDSU is a decent team, not close to what they once were. Missing their best player. But UNLV controlled everything from start to finish. UNLV was the aggressor, the dictator of the entire game. We forced SDSU to get uncomfortable instead of the other way around. We forced them to make adjustments, which they didn't, and we stuck with what was working. They had zero answer for our bigs and they won't have an answer for our bigs this season.
Yeah, I know, it's a bit bittersweet to snap the streak against SDSU when they are way down, but we needed to snap that ugly streak. I'm glad it's over.
Hopefully this carries forward. A gimmie home game coming up against San Jose before a couple of tough ones on the road against Boise and UNR. Would like to have some momentum and confidence heading into that stretch. Great game tonight.
