NBA G league

I think it’s a good idea, myself. First round type of players, many of them at least, their primary goal is to get to the league. It’s a great goal, I understand it ... but if that’s the focus, it won’t enhance a team as much as it should and it takes away from college basketball in general. Teams and the game deserve the full focus of a player.

And, to be honest, many don’t like the idea of playing college basketball. They don’t like that it’s forced down their throat. You don’t want college to be a resentment. If a degree is important, they’ll find a way to get it.

It’s a small step and won’t solve all the issues, it’ll make a tiny difference; but still a good first step in my opinion.

I agree it, I feel like they should either make the players play 3-4 years of college or allow them to go pro straight out of college. It would be a win-win for the league and the ncaa. It’s time to put an end to all this one and done nonsense, but yes at least it’s a step in the right direction.

I've wanted this for a long time. Similar to baseball. You can go pro.... well.... minor leagues..... or go to college. Make the choice then stick with your decision.

Still don't like a lot of the locations for the G League, but looking at the list just now seems better than what it was a while back.

You definitely need to go the football route and increase the requirements for staying in college. I would say 2 years is far. Also the NBA should offer those one and dones the baseball deal. If you don't make the NBA in x amount of years, they will pay for college.
