Jones, Pat and Obeka are seeing if they can get paid. If they don't hire an agent, then they can come back.
If I were in their shoes, I would probably do the same thing.

2. Throwing name in hat and checking the water temperature with no risk (can still come back)
This opens up two avenues to see what shakes down in the next couple of months. See if they are really on board with Beard or not. He says the right things, but who knows also. These guys are taking a beating right now on the boards and the comment section in the paper. It sucks that there are so many negative comments about the the couple of guys listed above. Pat and Jones played their hearts out and left it on the court. I want to see them come back, but if they can get a paycheck in the NBA...I would probably try it out also.
I think that we will see lots of kids try out for the NBA than we have seen in recent years as they can come back and didn't burn a bridge.
I don't know what Jones' situation is, but I would really like to see the other two come back if the water isn't warm enough.
Now, on that note, we need players to buy into Beard. If they are so mad that Stacey got passed over or Miller, then that is just poison in the locker room. As much as I love their games, I want loyalty in the locker room.
On that note. These guys can argue that the University, Board, Fans, Etc weren't loyal to them and their coaches. So they are loyal...just loyal to dismissed coaches.
