MWC postponed half the games!

I can only laugh when they push the vaccine and continue to say that almost all the cases of those getting the virus are from unvaccinated people, which flies in the face of the MWC postponing most if not all of this weeks games due to a virus they can't possibly get if they have been vaccinated! Which is it, does the vaccine not work at all, or was nobody from the MWC teams vaccinated? The following was recently posted by the CDC through google:

Most people who get COVID-19 are unvaccinated. However, since vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing infection, some people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19. An infection of a fully vaccinated person is referred to as a “vaccine breakthrough infection.”

Please explain that to all of the basketball players, NBA player, NHL players who got vaccinated and now have the virus, or are the postponed games just a mirage?

It is actually starting to not be fun at all...sports in general. All you read about is politics or covid !

I’ve never watched for “escape” before, always watched out of deep interest. That faded, it’s a little escape now, but that enjoyment that might be in that has been pretty sapped.

My point is now that I don’t watch a game just to pass time. I won’t watch NBA and only follow a game that I have an interest in whether it be UNLV or a financial interest.

I don’t either. When I was young, it could be Lacrosse on ESPN8. As long as there is hard competing. I think of the number of hours I’d spend per day on sports …

It has become sad that all of these regulations are pushing us away from what we once enjoyed, and now going to an event has become more of a job, and less worth my time! Sad!

It’s a storm, not just one thing. Pandemic aside, things faded for me. I can handle sucking, for the 35 years I’ve followed we’ve done just that in about a ten to dozen of those years.

Getting older, kid responsibility and one consistent at UNLV is the lack of commitment to a top 40 product. I think all coaches bust their ass to put out the best they can, but the entire team is more than the program, it’s AD and auxiliary, marketing and such. It’s very laissez-faire. Not saying they are the reason for sucking, but there needs to be a same page mindset and it’s not there and hasn’t been there. When Lon was here, he had more control and he was an old pro with success and he fit in with Livengood well. And I think it showed.

I watched them play for about 5 minutes. The coach seems to know how to motivate them and pour it on when they are ahead.

Women’s basketball is tough to watch.
