Right now Graney has been putting out a UNLV football story almost every day. It wouldn't hurt if the media continued to give this type of coverage to the team.

There is definitely an argument if ISU wins. In common games we are 2-0 and they are 1-1. If we beat BSU our best win will be vs #10 team and theirs vs #15. Our worst loss OT vs #25 team theirs 9 points vs sub .500 Kansas. In reality there is no way they should be ranked ahead of us though of course they will be.

ASU is different if they win they do have a bad loss vs Cincy but they will also have 3 wins over ranked teams compared to our 1. Tough argument there.

I never considered us getting a bye with a win, but I can see the argument there. Though I don't think we would jump really either team.

It isn't just him, most of the TV new stations, with the exception of channel 5, have provided very little coverage of UNLV football in the past. I will take everything we get along with all of the bandwagon fans that are now joining UNLV football. It is good to feel wanted!

The local media is kinda of out of it.

a couple weeks ago, every morning, leading up to the SJSU game …. One of the radio stations that goes over their daily sports brief …. UNLV finishes the season this Saturday hosting UNR …. No, we were playing AT SJSU on Friday, the following Saturday was against UNR. This was Monday through Thursday, the clip runs the same time daily as a drive to work. I just shook my head. I intended on calling them just to give them the heads up, not to be a dick, just so they could get accuracy ….

But then I realized, people don’t listen to radio much anymore. Or watch local TV much anymore. Or read local papers anymore.

Unfortunately true...now young people get their news from influencers. That's right the same 22 year olds with no higher education or media training who are trying to sell you the latest iPhone case are now the modern day Walter Kronkite getting kids to put on their keffiyeh and march.

That's the issue. No matter how many teams you have, someone will feel left out. Just like NCAA hoops. Then they add play in games. Ultimately, some teams miss out on both and are pissed.
