Rebels hung in there on a very off night which is a good sign. Never folded.

Want Seagears to utilize his senior leadership to lead this team but, unfortunately it isn't happening very consistently. Just hope Rice doesn't get to comfortable with seagears getting big minutes if he can't create for the team. Poyser seems to have more potential. Would like to see him get more minutes and have poyser and mccaw running the offense.

With the touch fouls now, so important to have a PG who can penetrate, put pressure on the defender and set up the talented bigs we have.

With no one player having a good game, the Rebels still had a chance in the end. Hit FT's, and rebound = Rebel victory.

If I didn't know that Seagars and Nwamu were seniors I would guess they were freshmen based on their shot selection and general wild play. Sure they make some circus type plays at times but they don't really have a calming effect on the team like you would expect from seniors. It looks to me that they want to prove they are as talented as the younger more highly recruited UNLV players instead of buying into a role. Your team has a lot of talent, but they are young and could use some steadying leadership not highlight plays from the senior transfers. If they can't do that then why not play guys like Poyser more?

You have Poyser who scored your last points and was the hot hand, so why couldn't he bring up the ball.

If they do, JP, I'm begging you: Grab the starting job by the throat. Fight for it, keep showing you want it. Show it more. Lead outwardly. It's a tall order but you're the type of Freshman who could do this. In a perfect world you shouldn't have to own this role just yet, yet here it is....Opportunity.

Save this season. Save this staff. Without being overly dramatic, save this program. Make a few people on these boards eat their words along the way.

Take 10 minutes from Seagers and 10 minutes from McCaw and give them to Poyser. Problem there is that both of those guys need to be on the bench the last 5 minutes of the game so Jones needs to get some of those minutes as well.
