What the hell is taking so long for the Beard Press Conference? And don't tell me it's for the regents to approve the contract, that's a formality and they've never waited this long in the past. He needs to hire his staff and get on with recruiting..

Funny how they hired the coach up at unr in 1-2 days, while we wait weeks at UNLV! Maybe they want to wait and see if they can get him to change his mind?

Ya, what's with that, 2 days to approve Mussleman's contract but UNLV is in the 2nd week now WTF

Totally bush league and totally expected from the envious leeches up north. I'm surprised they even ok'd the medical school.

What I find humorous is that their nervous and still have a bad taste in their mouth because of the Rollie Massomino deal, but yet they can still sleep at night and have no trouble swallowing the fact that they let Kruger get away.

North pi$$ing on the South. It must be their worst nightmare, our football program rising, getting a new stadium and leaving them in the Mtn Worst. It took them so long to climb up from the WAC.

Let him get away??? Were you around 4 years ago? Kruger was ready to be run out of town on a rail. Sure, he could have stayed, but the faithful were none too happy with several years of one-and-done tournament appearances. Sounds pretty good right about now, doesn't it?

The process changed right after that.
Ok. It's a pain. Hopefully Beard has started his normal duties, recruiting etc, which I'm assuming is the case.

Any word on Miller? I know they're meeting at the FF. Beard will likely get inundated with job seekers this weekend.

I'd rather not be in the tournament than get ran by 30 in the first game. Now that was embarrassing.

It's horrible. Something doesn't feel quite kosher.

As for Miller, I expect we will know more pretty soon.

You are kidding right?
Not even being worthy of qualifying for NCAA's 3 straight years is better than getting smacked 1st round? Cut that out man!!

Regent Trevor Hayes said he was interested in seeing the financial numbers on the deal, saying if the contract is around $900,000, “for a young coach, that’s surprising.”

But Hayes also wanted to give UNLV officials the benefit of the doubt regarding the salary, and if they explain “why they’re doing it and how they’re going to pay for it, I’m all ears.”

F that, as an athlete I was always in it to win it. If we were getting beat that bad there's was gonna be a lot of fights lol.

Losing by 30 every year? No, you're not worthy of being there anyway.

Yeah. Any year we get beat by 30 in the tourney is a year we shouldn't have been there in the first place. Not interested in participation banners, this isn't reNO.

If you make it as a 14/15/16, maybe. As a 12 or better? Shouldn't be getting beat by a few touchdowns.

It wasn't even catching a hot team that buzzsaws through you. It was strict non-competition from tip to final buzzer. That's not supposed to occur.

I was at two of those NCAA games - UNLV/Illinois and UNLV/Tulsa. We all knew we had no chance vs KU after we beat Kent State - but we competed and it was just evident that KU was much, much better.

Granted, the Illini beatdown was flat-out depressing. But at least we earned our way into the tourney. with a pretty decent 24-8 season. That's really the part that looks good in hindsight.
